Great starter camera for kids but the battery cover is too easy to open

One of my kids has this camera and one has the older Kidizoom Connect model. They are both easy enough for a 3 year old to use. I deducted a star because in the few months that we’ve had the Connect they have never managed to get the battery compartment open, whereas within 2 days of having this Pix model we were hunting for the battery compartment cover twice. The features of the 2 models are basically the same except that they have different games.

Got this as a big-brother gift for my 3 1/2 yr-old son when our second child was born. When I ordered this camera, the older version was still available but marked as discontinued and this one had no reviews. The old model had great reviews, so I figured going with the new one was a safe bet.

As soon as my daughter saw this , she had to have it. She’s 2 1/2 years old and can use this camera without help. It takes pretty good pictures for a kids camera and is surprisingly sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase.

Nearly everything about these cameras is perfect. They’re nearly indestructible

Nearly everything about these cameras is perfect. They’re nearly indestructible, take lots of great photos, and give young kids a meaningful access to technology.

This is such a hit with my two year old. I can’t believe you cameras aren’t more common! She is obsessed with pictures and cameras so this is a natural fit. Even at two its only taken a day for her to figure out the basic picture functions and buttons and I love that it will grow with her and she can use the more complicated functions like videos and stickers and games as she gets older. I no longer get my phone stolen 👍🏻

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 2 year old and I love it. It’s easy for her to use and she loves to take it with her when we travel or go on trips. She takes pictures of the people she meets and we are able to look through them and share our memories of the day together. It is an electronic that gets her interacting with the world around her so it’s the perfect compromise. We have dropped it more then I count and it holds up to the bumps. Highly recommend.

My toddler LOVES this camera! He’s been using our iPhone camera to take photos and now loves that he has his own to use. It’s great because he can take photos with tons of fun options, plus there are games when he doesn’t feel like taking photos.

Great kids camera – like a real camera but super durable and has fun features and games to entertain. Great value!

I got this for my 6-year old son and this was one of his favorites for the holiday. This camera works just like an adult camera – AA batteries, memory chip, scroll through images, delete images, etc. I like that it has taught him how to use a regular camera – now he can operate my point and shoot Nikon! I also love that you could easily use this for a very young child or a much older kid since it’s durable when dropped (3-12 years old?) I don’t know what the age rating is as you should follow. 😉

Great Camera for Kids

Our 4 year old loves this camera! She constantly asked to use our phones to take pictures, but now uses this. It’s very easy for her to use and understand. The picture quality is decent, but seeing as a child is using it, we weren’t expecting it to be excellent. This would be even better if it was bundled with a memory card so that more pictures could be taken before running out of memory. We ended up buying a memory card separately since the camera memory was full by the end of Christmas Day.
