Learning is tons of fun with the Drop and Go Dump Truck by VTech. Drop a colorful rock into the top of this cute toy dump truck, and watch it tumble into the bucket. Your little one will learn numbers as the interactive truck counts each rock. Once the rocks are in the bucket, push or pull the truck along to see the rocks rumble inside. Then, lift the hinged bucket to unload the rocks and start again while developing motor skills. The dump truck also includes 3 colorful buttons that play melodies, phrases and teach tools and colors. Requires 2 AAA batteries (batteries included for demo purposes only; new batteries recommended for regular use). Intended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

Received this a day earlier than expected. 9+ mo old grandson was captivated by it immediately (he loved the Amazon box, too LOL). He is too young to know how to pop the rocks into the bed of the dump truck but he puts them in the hole, turns it over and spins the wheels — he loves wheels. If I pop the rocks in, he pulls the bed back by hand to get them out — he doesn’t know how to use the lever. He can’t walk so he can’t pull the truck by the string but he laughs when I pull it and crawls after it. Love VTech because of the bells and whistles of sound and lights. We are such an electronic world and I like buttons to press for learning activities. Grandson has many VTech toys. It’s great to start babies out young (many he got months ago) because they can grow into the toys and go back to them. He has the laptop, remote control, sit to stand (all time favortie – love love love this one), Iphone, etc. Yes, the “rocks” have gone under the couch a few times but that’s OK – I fish them out. Today I put some of his other little toys in the back of the dump truck with the rocks. The Vroom Vroom sound is fun and I do that, too. I searched Amazon for a truck and decided on this one and am very happy with it. It is sturdy and something he will play with for a long time.

Great toy. Fun and educational.

I got this for my grandson on his one year birthday. He loves it, and caught on quickly how to push the balls through the top of the truck’s cab, which then go into the dump bed. The toy will count the balls as you put them in. The biggest problem with this toy is keeping track of the balls, which tend to roll away and get lost under the furniture. I guess they could solve this by making the balls lumpy as with another toy I bought for his three year old brother. (The WolVol 3-in-1 Construction Bulldozer…).

so he has endless fun with this

My son LOVES this, got it for him when he was 1 and he’s almost two now and he still likes it. Other things (i.e. legos, matchbox cars) fit in the hole too, so he has endless fun with this. He can pull it around, play with the dump truck feature, play with the buttons and put the ball in the hole, so it has a lot of different ways to play with it.

Super fun dump truck!

My 17 month old loves this truck! He can pull it with the string and trail it behind him or he pushes it across the room and chases it down. The blocks go in the dump truck and makes lots of noise and music that he loves. Then he can dump all the balls back out with a lever and chase them down all over again. Definitely recommend this toy.

It was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. At Christmas, he will be 9 months old. It seems that it is just the right size for him to play with. Not too big nor too small. Bright colors with fun balls that you can haul with the truck and roll around. Seems pretty durable as far as toys go- although, he hasn’t yet played with it. Good value for the price. I am excited to see him open it.

Purchased for a one year old girl and two year old boy. Both LOVE it!

I purchased two of these trucks. One for my 1 year old granddaughter, and another for my 2 year old nephew. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and quality! Both kids love putting the balls (rocks) in the top of the truck, and pushing them ever so lightly so they come through to the back of the dump truck into the bucket. The colors are bright, and the quality is good. I am very happy with this purchase.

My son enjoyed this from 6 months to 10 months then got bored with it. But when he was interested in it, he played with it all the time-so 5 stars! I can’t expect every toy to keep his attention forever! I think this is the toy that started to get him interested in sorting. Once he figuered out how to put the rock in the hole-a light bulb when off lol! Although this is a string toy, my son has yet to pull it around (maybe that’ll come with time?). Wish this thing came with more “rocks” since only that specific ball with fit in the hole. The songs are catchy and get stuck in your head but they aren’t too bad to listen to. It does count 1-3 as the rocks are put through the hole. I think once he starts learning numbers he might enjoy this thing again.

It was great!! It was a birthday gift for my two year old grandson, and his reaction to it was priceless!! As soon as he unwrapped it, he took off running with it in the box! Afterwards, he just kept pushing the buttons and reacting to the lights and sounds. It is sturdy and the bright colors will not wear off, so I expect he will have fun with it for a very long time!!

My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday. It wasn’t until she was about 18 months that she really became interested in it, and now at 2 years old she is obsessed. I bought this as a gift for two other 2 year old because I think it’s such a great toy. And of course the option to turn the sound off when you just can’t handle the beeping and bopping of interactive toys is always a plus 🙂
