Good quality and simply to use for my 8 year old son… It is much easier for younger children to solve than the original 3x3x3 Rubik’s.

Simpler yet more complex than 3×3

Believe it or not, the 2×2 is actually more complicated to solve than the 3×3, at least at first impression. There are no fixed squares to rotate base algorithms about, so every movement starting point is very relative on whatever axis you decide to keep focused in your mind. As with the 3×3 or any other puzzle cube, algorithms are out there to memorize, there’s just slightly more mental work and practice required to keep straight. Looking at it makes me want to get a 1×1 as a joke to feel mentally superior again 😛 This simpler yet more complex cube is a cornerstone to any rotating color/number block puzzle collection (no pun intended)!

Only 2x2x2 — looks easy, doesn’t it?

It isn’t! If it was easy it wouldn’t be any fun. But you don’t have to worry about that. Hint: if you’ve solved the 3x3x3 — or looked up the solution, as I did — do those algorithms (but without the middle layer, because there isn’t any). And remember, this has only corner cubes.

Mom loves it too…

I bought this for my son for his 10th birthday and he LOVES it. I love it as a 41 yr old because I can actually solve ONE side. Don’t laugh….this is huge for me. I was never able to solve my cube as a kid. I probably play with it more than he does.

Great Rubik’s Cube for younger kids…

This was purchased for my granddaughter and she loves it. She always keeps it close by and plays with it frequently, twisting and turning it. It’s colorful and the size makes it perfect for smaller hands. I would recommend this Rubik’s 2 x 2 cube for younger kids and I’m sure I’ll be buying her the 3 x 3 when she is a little older.

get people doing fun things at a picnic with these!!!

super for team games @ picnics…especially for all the people between the ages of 15 – 65….you know the ones that don’t want to get up off their duppa (since their not use to doing that)…i had several different kinds of rubik’s cube & made games out of the both for personal use & also for team activities…fun was had by everyone!!!

Great for younger kids who are new to Rubik’s puzzle.

My 8-year old wanted a Rubik’s Cube, but I was concerned it might prove too difficult. Then I found this one! It being smaller gives him a great introduction to the puzzle, and once he’s mastered this one, we’ll get the traditional size.

I rubiks cube I can do, occasionally

my 8 year old son loves this. He’s figured it out twice and I had to take it away the other day at the dinner table. He brings it to school, to bed, yes my son is a bit of a geek, but I think he like it so much because the ability to solve it is attainable. Id recommend this for sure for anyone 6+
