Purchased this as a gift for my younger brother who has Asperger Syndrome. It was reccomended on a blog that I follow about related to kids with autism. He absolutely adored this ball! He’s ten and has always really been into puzzles. He loves doing things with his hands and is great with critical thinking, so this really is the perfect toy for him. He is the type of kid that will sit with something for hours while he perfects it, so this has provided him many many hours of brain-powered stimulation.

We are pleased with the product, but more with Play Monster’s Customer Service. Stage 19 had a bit of plastic flashing that prohibited the ball to go through the hole. We contemplated taking it apart to get to this issue, however we decided to contact the manufacturer. We are fully pleased to have done so. No questions asked, Cori of Play Monster was more than pleasant to work with to correct the problem. Apart from a minor manufacturing flaw, you can ‘t go wrong getting any of the Perplexus puzzles.

Really Neat Puzzle

I just received this today and I’m incredibly impressed with it. I’m a 35 year old man who has recently started getting interested in Rubiks Cubes and other nerdy gadgets and I thought this looked really cool so I bought it on a whim. I’ve been playing with it during the day and I can’t believe these have been around so long and I’ve never had one.

Great for all ages!

I stinking love these things! We got these for my sister at Christmas and everyone in the family grabbed it more than once over the next few days, to try and get further with it. It’s infuriating and enjoyable at the same time! The only issue is if you start it in one room where you are comfortable and realize that the lighting in that room sucks! You don’t want to get up and move rooms because it might throw off your rhythm!

Great family Gift

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson. He loved it. It is hard to get that little silver ball to go through all of the “mazes”, corners, and through holes but it was a hit for Christmas. You have to turn the big ball in all directions to get through the maze. The whole family played. Some had more success then others but everyone was laughing and cheering so it was a whole lot of fun!

Although there are over 2000 reviews already, I feel the need to add my 5 stars for this truly wonderful product. My grandfather used to have similar gadgets scattered around his living room, perfect for long Minnesota winters. Absolutely fabulous design with loads of challenging segments in a beautifully presented format. So glad to have purchased this!

I bought this for our office. It gets treated not as nicely as one would hope and it is still holding on strong. I say this because I saw some reviews talking to the fragility of this item. I can’t say for all but mine gets tossed around from person to person and i have shaken it after getting frustrated and it is all still fine. That being said it is really fun and frustrating. You get good at a section and then get complacent and fall off of an easy part. This is a blast to play for a while it’s very intense while you are doing it and requires a lot of concentration. It is great for an office environment and just at home to play around with. I have never played the original, only the epic so I cannot speak to the difference between the two. This one is definately hard. After about 3 weeks in our office the furthest anyone has gotten to going from 1 all the way through not skipping anything is 76 and noone was there to verify. Just saying it’s difficult but really fun I reccomend.

Great for unplugged downtime.

My 12 yr old asked for this for Xmas. It looked totally cheesy to me, however my entire family is addicted to “the ball”. The concentration and coordination it takes to master this makes it great for family competitions. Even the adults want a turn. It has a handy display ring and has become a fixture on our living room coffee table.

This game is REALLY fun, but REALLY hard

This game is REALLY fun. It takes a very steady hand with which to rotate the sphere. The embossed logos on either side do get in the way sometimes. It would also be a little easier if all checkpoint numbers were painted on & not just stamped on. This would make the intended path MUCH clearer & easier to follow. Even if this were done it would still be a VERY difficult game to complete.

A fun toy, though with some questionable construction.

The vast majority of this Perplexus operates flawlessly. It’s what you’d expect from a Perplexus – clever maneuvering, intricate details, all very well planned out, destined for hours of fun.
