A Happy, Teething Baby?

 on May 1, 2017
By Melissa
My daughter started cutting her first tooth (bottom) at 4 months old. She had a fever. Ate less. And she was much fussier than usual. I already had a plethora of teethers ranging from Sophie the Giraffe, wooden rings and Raz-berry to the cheap water filled teethers. And everything in between. I easily have over 30 teethers. My baby didn’t want any of them. I also avoid giving my baby medicine whenever I can. I wanted to stay away from teething medicine and Tylenol.

This is my baby’s favorite teether. It’s softer than others and really bendable

This is my baby’s favorite teether. It’s softer than others and really bendable. One side is smooth the other has bristles like a baby gum brush. There’s no liquid inside.

My daughter had just started cutting her first tooth and it was ROUGH. My wife works nights, and I work from home so I am with the baby most of the time. The first two nights on her first tooth were brutal because she is our first baby and I had no idea what to expect or how to make her feel better.

Nuby Teether is by far my favorite teething toy for my baby girl

Nuby Teether is by far my favorite teething toy for my baby girl. I purchased this item when my baby was around 6 months old and started to sprout her first bottom tooth. She was fussing nightly, chewing on anything and everything including my face and herself, this was my lifesaver. This was my third teething purchases right after Comotomo

My son’s favorite chew toy when he was teething. He happily chew on this for long periods of time because it made his gums feel better while his first teeth were coming through. He preferred it over the typical chew rings. He used it more often than

My son was miserable for weeks from teething. We tried so many different rings and toys and he just wasn’t having it. I finally went on Amazon to see if there was anything else we could try and this product came up with great reviews.

Baby loves it!

We’ve had this a couple months but my son seems to be really teething the last few days because he has discovered this teether and now chews on it all day long. He much prefers it to his Sophie ring, which cost four times as much as this! He seems to really chew down on the nubs and bristles on this teether, and it’s small enough and light enough that he can easily use it without much of my help. Downside to the nubs is that they are close together and can trap spit and debris, so you have to be thorough and intentional in cleaning it. If you have a dishwasher I imagine you could just throw it in there. Anyway, I’ve seen how much relief those bristles give my little one so I’m happy to take an extra minute to clean them! And I appreciate the case that comes with it so I can just throw this in a diaper bag! Highly recommend you try this one before getting a more expensive Sophie!

Sophie’s favorite chew toy!

I looked around online for the right chew toy for my baby… she had a lot of the harder plastic ones but I wanted something softer. I like it because of the little brissles, it’s flexible and she holds on to it well like a pacifier. Totally recommending to anyone with a teething little one!

It does frustrate my daughter (5 months)but other teethers that seem to be good do as well, like that banana one. My theory is it’s doing suck a great job it makes her mad it she can’t get it back to the spot maybe that was giving her relief.

A favorite teething toy

My 5 month old loves this! Easy to grip, multiple surfaces to chew on PLUS it hasn’t caused any gagging (which many of his other, longer/slender teething apparatuses have) so I don’t have to wait to give it to him after he feeds. I will say that it did take him a while to warm up to this one (as the smaller-bumps area was too textured and off-putting when he was 2-3 months old) but his gums seem better formed and now able to enjoy this area most.
