An absolute favorite… I bought this game since I had the very old version and it felt like it was about time to buy a new one. This is one of the best cardboard games I’ve ever played… Nothing else here to say. If you haven’t played Monopoly, you’re missing out. If you’re in the market to buy a new one, pick one of these… They’re great! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

This brought back memories. Nothing beats the roll of a dice. Rolled doubles 3 times and landed in jail! What are the odds of that? Haha 🙂 But this has all the classic pieces I used to remember as a kid. Nothing beats this edition except for the true original. I think the houses are just a tad bit different. I don’t remember there being detailed rooftops on the house or the hotel. Ours were smooth. But it comes very close to the original one I played back in the 80’s and 90’s.
A Classy Edition & Memories For Home, Friends/Family

I remember the first time I was invited to a Monopoly game with the grown-ups after complaining for months that the board game stated children ages 7+ were allowed to play, so I watched for one year from the age of 7 until I became 8 years old, and was fascinated, as well as excited when my father stated, “you are now included in the game of Monopoly.” Since I had a year to plan how to purchase property, try to avoid auctions of my property, hoping not to land in jail, and collect $200 every time I passed GO, I could not wait to experience some of those strategies and thoughts I had during the year of viewing others play this game in our home.
A great collector’s item

What I like about this edition is that it comes with the retired tokens such as the horseman and the canon. It even has the classic chance and community chest cards. What I also like about it is the first two properties are purple instead of brown like in modern versions. And if you’re a nostalgia person like I am, you can’t go wrong with this. I recommend this to anyone who likes to play Monopoly.

Bought for my 7 year old nephew who beats me all the time playing on strict Monopoly Rules. It’s the same board and for the most part, other pieces I had 33 years ago when I was 7 years old.
Minor Differences, Otherwise a True Classic Version

I’m comparing this edition with the version I bought roughly in 1996. Overall, this is a great classic throwback. I bought this set mostly because I had lost 70% of the houses and hotels from the old version. Compared to the 1996 version, the chance and community chest cards, the tokens, and even the money look the same. The board might have been made out of a slightly different material, but on the surface also looks the same.
Excellent Buy. All the old tokens and everything is …

Excellent Buy. All the old tokens and everything is as I remember it from my childhood … a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Best of all it has a BI-FOLD board that simply folds in half … not one of those awful modern boards that folds into a square and wobbles. Highly recommended!
