My 3 year old son LOVES these water wow books. He literally uses them everyday and he doesn’t like art and crafts normally. He is a bit rough with them, so I will need to replace them soon but they have put up with a lot of abuse and use. I have sent them as gifts to other kids who have also loved them. LOVE this PRODUCT!

Do not saturate!

Great for toddlers! Easy clean up, vibrant colors! Keeps my daughter occupied for a while. She loves this kit. My only critique is that the case for the paint brush sticks out of the front so you can’t really stack them. The brush also leaks water so don’t store it with water in it still. You have to make sure you dry the pages really well after use. I stand it on its side with all pages open to dry. After a while, the pages start to warp but my daughter also “paints” in it multiple times a day. Don’t over saturate or it ruins the top lining which makes the pages reusable.

Excellent for little hands and minds.

Water Wow booklets are SO much fun, and virtually mess-free!

Very popular in our house

These books were a sanity saver on a recent airplane trip. Even my 13-month old could use them! The 4yo had fun “coloring” and also practicing her letters and numbers. After owning these for nearly 2 months, they are still played with nearly every day by both children.

18 month old likes it

Got these for my 18 month old daughter who likes to color with crayons but eats them and draws on everything she shouldn’t as much as she colors in a coloring book. So this seemed like a good alternative. The pen only holds a small amount of water so even if it opened it’s not going to make much of a mess. These books and pens occupy her for a decent amount of time (what more can you ask for with a toddler?). I can definitely see this coming along every time we go to eat out. She does like to take the pen and “color” on things other than the Water Wow books but it’s just a little water and really not that messy. I also like that the books come with a built in pen holder. I didn’t realize that when I bought them and just assumed we’d lose the pens quickly. So that’s a nice feature. I did see some comments about the books warping easily. Come on – they’re constantly being covered with water. What do you expect? At $5 a pop even if they only last about 3 months it’s money well spent in my opinion.

An Amazing Toy at a Bargain Price

My incredibly rambunctious, easily distracted two and a half year old loves these books. He will sit quietly and meticulously “paint” until the whole book is done. When the weather is warm enough, by the time he finishes the last page, the first has often dried enough that he can start over, other times I’ll just blast the pages really quickly with a hair dryer. He has a vehicles one that he has been using for about six months, and it is just now nearing time to toss it in recycling. I can usually get him to be calm in restaurants or stores when he is cranky or full of energy by offering one of these. I am absolutely in love with these, and I recommend them to everybody I know who has a toddler or is looking for a gift for a little one. I plan on buying every single one of these books, and will likely buy backups of his favorites. I seriously cannot express how happy I am that these books exist, hahaha!

Great for Road Trips

I love these Melissa and Doug Water Wow Activity books. My son, now 3, really likes them as well. He says he is painting whenever he is playing with them. They are great for road trips or while in a shopping cart. My main complaint is that the water seems to come out too quickly from the pen at a times. However, I have found that giving him a glass with water and a paint brush actually lets him take his time and he plays with them longer. By doing this, he also has better smaller motor skills in use and is closer to actually writing letters versus using a chunkier version to do so. I would purchase again and will purchase again if other versions are released.

These are the perfect road trip toy! They are educational and kept my 2.5 yr old busy for about 1 hour each time she painted on them. On a rainy day during vacation these kept my toddler, and the other two kids (3 and 5) we were with busy and even quiet! I was wary of how they would hold up, being cardboard and water, but they withstand use and abuse.

My 3-year old son really enjoys these, no mess, fun, & educational

My 3-year old son absolutely LOVES these books. I got them as just a little extra birthday gift. He loves coloring & painting, and being a stay-at-home mom, I like finding fun ways of trying to teach him, and these books are definitely perfect for that very reason – & especially having no mess to clean up after using them. Just add water to the pens, and start “writing” or coloring with them, no squeezing or pushing required, very very easy to use, & lots of fun, as well as educational. I’m so happy with these that I’m planning to get more.
