Amazing PT for 5 yr old son going through chemotherapy

For the sake of context, my son was diagnosed with brain cancer at the beginning of April, less than a month before his 5th birthday. Long story short, he spent 3 months straight laying in a bed due to multiple surgeries and emergency chemotherapy and radiation to his head. Needless to say, he was almost completely immobile. He can barely tolerate sitting let alone standing. We knew we needed to get him up and moving and needed a fun way to do so. I was hesitant to buy this at first, not sure if it would be too small, but it had EVERYTHING I was lookin for in a bike for PT; he could steer (building arm strength) or we could while also providing as much or little assistance for moving forward as he needed, he could sit and build core strength, he could pedal and build leg strength, he could build confidence and independence … I can’t tell you how amazing this bike has been. We are in Boston Children’s Hospital and multiple families have come by asking about his trike, saying they need something like it. We’re all amazed the hospital doesn’t have somethings like this, even the Physical Therapist marveled over this bike. This has been critical in getting him moving. We started using it a week ago and he’s now able to bear his own weight again! It also has a safety strap when you do or don’t use the safety bar so that you don’t have to worry about the child failing out, no matter how you have it set up. There’s also a tray for their feet if they’re not ready to pedal on their own; the pedals also can be engaged or disengaged so the child can pedal or just feel like their pedaling. It has a canopy that’s good for a lil guy who needs to stay shaded due to chemo meds – or a lil toddler that’s riding in the sun. The highback chair can be removed but provides great support.

It’s an okay 4 in 1

Rides okay, steers fine, footrest is key. Little child tray is a good idea. Wish it were sturdier, but everything made today seems so flimsy, this is no exception. The real nightmare was the assembling the darn thing. Instructions were horrible! It was truly a pain in the butt to put together. When you become totally frustrated walk away for a bit giving your stress level some time to come down, then go back and continue. I’m not kidding it worked for me. Just a tip on the seat assembly, make sure the footrest lines up and slips into the slots on the underside of the seat or you’ll think the screws are too short, I also used a rubber mallet for this step, you may not have to but i just wasn’t strong enough to push the seat all the way down into the proper position. My decision for this trike was the rootrest. it’s a way better design than having the child’s feet just dangle in mid air. Other than the footrest and child’s little tray, I think I would have preferred the radio flyer.

Smart concept at reasonable price !

This is the cutest trike! it was a little difficult to put together and took some time, but it is well worth it. My 17 month old granddaughter LOVES it. It is sturdy and very easy to steer and push around. nice sun shade as they live in Las Vegas. Cup holder and basket. My only wish would have been a storage bag of some sort that when they child grows and you want to take it down to a single trike you can keep all the parts and instructions. together. Very Happy with my purchase.

overall this is great, my little boy just loves it and my wife loves how easy it is to steer. the only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is 1) the main body sits a tad off center so the seat is slightly slanted. not enough to really notice but nothing you can do since all the holes are pre-drilled and 2) one of the bolts (has a plastic knob to twist in by hand) used to secure the seat is not threaded properly so it can’t be screwed in. luckily the seat is secure without it but it’s always in the back of my mind that there’s a piece missing to secure the seat. also the wheel lock pedals are pretty flimsy but considering the price it’s not bad overall.

Best Bike/Stroller for my daughter.

My Daughter loves her new Tricycle Stroller, it took me some time to put it together ” 3 Hours” but when i was done my daughter wanted to try it so bad that in one picture i still was going to put the Canopy but she wanted it so bad to go for a ride that the canopy had to wait

This has, so far, been great. The steering took a bit to get used to… especially when my 2 year old kept trying to steer us into the street. It would be great if you could disengage the handlebars like you can with the pedals. The color is more green in real life which was fine with us since my husband thought the picture online looked girly. I love how much you can adjust the sun shade and parents handle. The little mom caddy is great but it’s too small for my water bottle. It does however hold my Starbucks cup just find so no big deal. The back compartment is a good size. I hauled a razor scooter in it for 3/4 of a mile and it stayed put just fine. It wasn’t hard to put together at all but it did take about an hour. I am so glad we bought this and can’t wait to use it more.

Great stroller tricycle

absolutely love this. It has a tray for my baby so he can grab water or snacks while I stroll him around. Tray also for an adult as well. enough space to put more stuff underneath the bike. It would be nicer if they made the wheels to have springs on them so it’s not as bumpy. sun canopy needs improvement in sizing- little bit small to block off sun, you can always put something over it to block off the sun though. Easy to assemble.
