I debated which picnic table to get for my 1 year old for ages. Do I get the junior or standard size? With or without the umbrella? I opted for the standard size (didn’t want him to out grow it too quick) and the umbrella and I am very happy with my choice.

We love the table, but we don’t use the umbrella

This table is great – larger than the others I considered. Would easily fit 6 two-year olds, but also sits my two-year old and several of her cousins, who are between ages 2 – 8. Crayon marks clean off pretty easily with a Magic Eraser. Love the edges are raised so crayons don’t fall off, and there’s a trough area in the center where we can put sippy cups and more crayons. (we color a lot here…) I removed a star because the umbrella does not go as high as in the photo, and the height of the umbrella makes it hard for an adult to tend to the kids while standing. I think this would be an issue with any umbrella, but most of the time, we keep the umbrella stored away for this reason.

Mommy, I want to have a picnic!

My 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son Love this! They really like having a table that is their size outside and I like that it came with an umbrella to help shade them. My daughter insisted on having picnics outside after we got it. I was able to put it together by myself pretty quickly and I like that it can fold down for flat storage. It isn’t the easiest thing to fold down, but I will only really be using it to move it inside for the winter or for hurricanes, so that is ok. The reason I didn’t give it a 5 is that there is a small well for 2 drinks in the center of the table, which is great in theory, but when it rains, it collects water and I have to dump it out. Not a big deal, but I would have given it higher rating if that wasn’t on there. I know this is made for kids, but I can’t sit on it with my kiddos without the seat bending (and I am not that heavy).

So we have only folded/unfolded this about a dozen times but it has held up well for us. The plastic snaps underneath that hold it in place do look like they could break but so far they have not for us. The fold up design is really smart, and we love that it can be easily slide along the side of our garage for storage. It keeps it out of the elements which I’m sure will help it last longer. Fits 6 toddler pretty easily and the bench seems sturdy enough that a light adult could sit on one side too. Overall, great addition to the back yard bbq!

Very Satisfied.

I bought this table as birthday gift for my 2 year old and 5 year old, their birthdays are 10 days apart. It’s the perfect size for them both. I’m glade to see they won’t be growing out of it any time soon. I decided on this table over the Little Tikes Jr table because of the size difference. The Jr table would be good if you have children under the age of 2, but after that they would be to big. The umbrella is a good touch to help keep the sun off of them while they eat lunch. They table was also super easy to put together, I did it in under 15 minutes. Over all, great table, kiddos love it, and I would highly recommend it to a friend!

Love this table. It is sturdy and has already withstood a winter outside with no ill effects.

I’m really glad I went with this one for several reasons

I did a lot of shopping around for a picnic table for my 20 month old before I settled on this one. I’m really glad I went with this one for several reasons. 1. Even though I have only one child we do have friends and family over often enough that the bigger size was worth it. We fit 6 kids at this table ranging in age from 2 – 6 years old. 2. I like the umbrella because our yard gets a lot of sun and it really does provide a good amount of shade while my son is sitting at it. I take the umbrella out and store it in the garage when he’s not using it to keep it in good shape – the fabric isn’t super heavy duty so I’m not sure how well it would hold up if left out all the time. Taking it in and out couldn’t be easier. 3. The table top isn’t perfectly smooth but the texture isn’t so much that it makes it hard to clean or too bumpy to color on. All in all couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
