LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket
My daughter’s favorite toy!
This is long, but you will know everything that you need to know:
So fun! I bought it for my babies first birthday but my 3, almost 4 year old, won’t stop playing with it long enough for her sister to touch it. The the pieces are adorable and I love the teaching elements. The forks are comically huge and the cups do have a hole in the bottom so they aren’t functional to hold fluids, a plus with my children. My 5 year old even really likes playing with it. I would highly recommend this fun picnic set!
Better than Fisher Price
Much nicer than the Fisher Price one. I couldn’t be more pleased. Adding a picture of my granddaughter enjoying it at only 5 months old. You can’t see the basket in this Christmas morning photo, but you can see some of the pieces and how she is enjoying it with her brother looking on.
The colors are bright and fun and the food is in various shapes that fit …
My daughter is 18 months and loves this. She doesn’t fully get the picnic idea, but her big brother likes having play picnics with her. The colors are bright and fun and the food is in various shapes that fit on the plates. A big factor for me in a kids toy is how annoying the noises and songs are…. this is not too bad at all! I would recommend this for little kids – they can learn shapes and colors, or just pretend to have a picnic. Great toy!
The best play pretend picnic you’ll ever have.
We have been a huge fan of leap frog from the beginning. We thought that the fact that it didn’t recognize what item was put in would be an issue but this toy is so much more than leaning shapes. We have such fun pretend picnics with our daughter! This thing still gets used quite a bit along with all our other leap frog items.
Already a Favorite Toy
Gave this to my 14 month old as an early Christmas present and it’s already her favorite. I gave it to her early because she saw it when it came in and got super excited over it. She hasn’t stopped playing with it for the last two days and she gets upset when it’s time to put it away! She likes to play with setting the pieces up on the blanket and she even pretends to drink from the cups and eat the food. It’s adorable to watch her playing with it! The item itself is also very well-made. Nice sturdy plastic that should hold up to her wear and tear for the next few years.
It’s wonderful! A great learning toy
I bought this for a work-related Christmas party (family and kids invited). The item is for a 1-1/2 yr old girl. When it arrived, I had to test it out. It’s wonderful! A great learning toy. Music, counting, shapes, in, out, etc. Not annoying like some toys can be. I liked it so much, I immediately ordered another one for my niece’s 2 yr old daughter! It’s super cute!
A Very Good Purchase!
Of all of the toys I have purchased for my daughter, she has consistently played with this LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket. I purchased this toy after her 1st birthday. We are now coming up to her 2nd birthday in a few weeks and she has started to sing (well, her attempt at singing LOL), the songs played by the basket. Her 4 year old cousin also loves to play with the basket. The plastic pieces (food pieces, forks, cups) are quite large and easily handled by her small hands. The songs are simple, sweet and catchy. As stated, it does teach the concepts of color, shapes, sharing and so much more through music and smiles. I liked this so much, I also purchased this for a friend’s child too.

This is probably my 20-month-old’s favorite toy. She doesn’t even use the audio features (which suits me just fine!). She plays with it every single day; this is going on several months now. The design encourages pretend play (let’s have a picnic!) and children also learn to fit the different shaped pieces into the spots on the plates. You can also use it to help them learn colors. The basket is fun for carrying around other toys as well. Just be aware that the drink cups have holes in the bottom so don’t try to use as drink cups.
