great game for all ages
this is a fun game for all ages. we’ve played it for dollar bills…and plan on playing it when we are on vacation with our young grandkids…using M & M’s. great way to teach “right” and “left” to little ones. the game is well made and comes in it’s own little carrying metal canister. it has chips and the dice…but i haven’t used the chips as of yet.
Good game to play with multi-generations
This seems a bit simple but becomes cutthroat as the game nears completion. You need a crowd to make it fun! We played this together after a birthday celebration with ages ranging from 8 to 95. You can replace the “game chips” with almost anything tangible from wrapped candy to money. No major thought process involved so great way to get the family all together for fun and conversation.
I love the game so much that I bought 2 more
We play this game during our team meetings to break up the formality of work! I love the game so much that I bought 2 more, one as an expansion, and one to give as a gift. Basically you give 3 tokens to each person playing. We played this at my Christmas party at home with 30 people, so after we ran out of tokens I used candy canes and change from my change charge as the premise will still work! Then you take turns rolling the 3 included die that are marked with a L for left, R for right, C for center, dot for keep. Depending on what you roll you pass one of your items to the person on your left or right. You have a bowl or other item to hold the centers that you have to get rid of. The object is to be the last person with at least one of the chips, or items. There is no strategy and its all luck, but a lot of fun. Especially if you need to entertain a large number of people! Any age can easily roll 3 die so anyone can play. We gave away gifts to the winners. Sometimes with the adults only we will do a $5 buy in and use dollars or coins as the items and the winner gets the center pot. The last person with a chip as to roll the dot in order to WIN it all. If they lose it to the center you have to buy in again. The pots can get pretty large and we have a lot of fun hanging out. HaHa! That is just a variation. The game is easy enough to change up rules to make it into a different style you want.
Great to play with any age
I would give this game 10 stars if I could! I played this game at a party I went to and had to get one for our house. I broke it out at our big family Thanksgiving. My family isn’t really into games much, but agreed to play after I insisted. We played with three dollars each instead of the chips. Who can’t afford three dollars? By the end of the game EVERYBODY was hooting and hollering with excitement!! We ended up playing four times. Anybody can play, there is no skill involved at all, its pure chance. Even when you think you’re out, you can still win! Great to play with any age. My kids always want to play whenever we get a good group of people together.
Fun gambling game to play with friends over drinks
Went to a local bar and they had a set of LCR dice that they would loan out for patrons to use…me and 7 other buddies had a great time playing with 3 $1 bills and so I pulled out my phone and ordered 2 sets with the Amazon app. I was a little disappointed at the size of the dice when it arrived…they are the size of a normal 6 sided playing die you would find in a board game. The ones we had used were a little oversized and were easy to see from the opposite end of a longer table. Oh well…these still serve the same function and are fun to play with. This is a fun game you can play with your kids (using the small plastic tokens that come with it) or with your friends using some dollar bills, is easily transported in the small tin (about the size of a deck of cards) and is a great value for the money.
we had a lot of fun playing with the kids
This game takes no skill whatsoever and winning or losing is 100% luck. Despite that, we had a lot of fun playing with the kids. We taught our 4-year-old to play, which makes this one of few games we can play with her that we adults and her teen-aged sisters aren’t bored with. That’s a big winner in our family. It’s small and portable, so will also be perfect for camping trips.
I really like the metal container
I really like the metal container. I wish all games came in a metal container like this one. It will last. This is small enough to fit in a purse or large pocket to take on the go.
Happy to see this game available again!
This is a great game…so happy they brought it back after a hiatus when it was hard or impossible to find. The friend who introduced us to it and who has played it for years says the LCR Wild version is even more fun. I was needing a birthday gift for that man who has everything and money enough to buy what he doesn’t have. His family loves gathering friends around the table for games, they bet with dimes or pennies (our other friend bets with dollars (!), so this along with the Wild version is exactly the sort of gift I was looking for.
This game is so much fun! The more people the better
This game is so much fun! The more people the better. I was introduced to it in a hospitality suite at a professional conference. Needless to say, it sure was an ice breaker! We made things a little more interesting and each person played with $3 (rather than the enclosed chips) and the pot was substantial. Also lent it to a friend to take on vacation with her young nieces and nephews. It was a hit for a rainy day at the beach.
