Terrific Gift for A Child

 on June 28, 2016
By C J Petes
I wasn’t sure about buying this for my nephew, but I’m glad I did. I was worried about the quality of the materials inside the box, but I didn’t need to worry. They’re well made and durable. There is also quite a bit there. My nephew absolutely loved it and, a year later, continues to put on magic shows. The tricks were simple enough for him to master, but legitimate enough for him to amaze more than a couple adults. Really a homerun for a youngster.

Highly recommend for the complete beginner (like our family) and very young

The overall quality of materials isn’t great, however it certainly isn’t junk. I think for all you get to learn 100 tricks it’s actually a pretty good deal. And the real value is in the hours of entertainment for the young magician and his audience. The book is a little weak but the instructional DVD is fantastic. All in all I’m very satisfied with the purchase, and should we decide on something better quality/more advanced in the future it will have almost certainly have been money well spent as a beginner’s set. I would also hesitate to recommend anything smaller, the size and number of tricks seemed perfect for a starter kit.

Engaging and Top-Notch Product for Kids!!!

My 8-year old has been into magic since finishing all the Harry Potter books at age 6. When he realized there are magic kits out there that give you the tools and magical items to actually “do” magic, he was hooked. This kit was the second magic kit we bought for him; the first one was for his birthday, but he wanted this one so bad he spent his own allowance money on it instead of waiting for Christmas. He’s been using it non-stop since it arrived and while Dad does have to often help him read through the instructions on how to do some of the more difficult tricks, he has figured out how to do the easy tricks by himself. He is SO into it that we can expect to see no less than a new trick from him every 2-3 days. He’s gotten so into it that Mom found a local Magic Camp for him to go to over summer break and he cannot wait to go. It is so fun to watch him get into this and learn the tricks, and then perform them for us. Just yesterday, he came home from school, went to his closet and got out a nice wool coat, put it on along with his Magic Hat (comes in the kit), and did a new card trick for us. I see him using this and having fun with it for years to come. Really engaging product for kids, and even fun for grown-ups too!

A real hit at Christmastime!

My 9 year old son received this as a Christmas present. I was thrilled when he opted to play with this gift over any other that day. He intently watched the video to learn how to do a handful of tricks and then proceeded to put on a “Magic Show” for his grandparents later that day. A few months later, he just did another “Magic Show” in his school’s talent show program. The reaction from the crowd of kids was priceless. The kit includes a box with a handle that keeps everything together and stores away nicely. Overall, the kit I believe will grow with him as well. As I mentioned, he learned a handful of tricks right away (the easier ones), but as he gets older, I believe the other ones will be good as well.

My 8-year-old son loved this gift, he even put on his own show.

I got this for my 8-year-old son for Christmas. I didn’t think he liked it at first because he opened it and just took it into his room. Then about a week after Christmas, he opened it up and began to play with it. He played with it for days and keep getting me to watch him do tricks. He even put on a show for his brothers. He loved it and I loved seeing him off his iPad for a change without me having to make him. The other kids also told me they wished I would have got them one.

Good starter kit for kids interested in magic

This is a reasonably priced magic kit that kids can understand and get a feel for magic tricks although the cost cutting can be easily seen. For example, many tricks involve a handkerchief but none is included (it says, use a napkin), our hat started pulling apart the first day, and it includes a fake plastic thumb for several tricks but the thumb is only one size and color.
