FIFA 17 slightly flawed but best version yet

 on January 1, 2017

I have played FIFA 15 and FIFA 16 on Xbox 360 and FIFA 17 on Xbox One S. ’17 plays and looks closer to a live Premier League match one might see on TV than the older versions. The realistic graphics will impress even the nit picky reviewers. Because ’17 “plays”with more realism, I’ve had to adjust my playing style on both sides of the ball, when defending and advancing. My teams in the first twenty matches at Professionl level in ’17 tournament versus the computer were scoreless or scored but one goal. I initially suffered one inglorious defeat after another. To succeed at both ends of the pitch, I now try to think and play like a real Chelsea footballer. One week later my US international team won a match against a competitive Eurpean team 6-0! Now it’s up to World Class level for me. Head-to-head competition requires a similar adjustment for both players and depending on how quickly that happens, they may experience a period of unequal play and lopsided games. Another new feature I particularly enjoy is the new commentary team for international matches. They’re a refreshing change. My only complaint so far is that EA limit the number of offline tournaments one can save to three. Makes no sense and triggers negative feelings every time I save results of a match. Even so ’17 is a beautiful game.

Love the game…

I’m a OG gamer. Certainly not hardcore but I remember the days of Atari, NES, Sega Genisis, and I owned a PS1 and PS2 to which I have used an sold all of them. I bought a Wii several years ago and finally this year decided to get an Xbox. I remember Fifa on the PS1 and PS2. I loved both of those. I played soccer in college and overall love the sport. I’ve played this sparingly, just don’t have time. I really like the story line of the game if you play that mode. It’s pretty challenging to keep preforming well to keep a starting spot. The graphics are awesome but of course this is me remembering Fifa of like 15 years ago. Bought the game used to save money and bought the year prior. All in all it’s a pretty neat game even for old gamers like me:)

Son loves it.

My 11 and 8 year old boys love this game. Without the 11 year old I think it may have been too difficult for the 8 year old, but now he is good to go.

Good but EA doesn’t update/fix issues

I’ve played FIFA games several times throughout the years but never owned one. After playing the Demo of this, I was hooked. I ordered it the same night. There are however, a few issues with the game that are irritating. Here’s what i’ve found in the first 4 days since owning…

Fun and pretty easy to get the hang of…

Very fun and pretty easy to get the hang of. It is as in depth as you want it to be. You can simply play exhibitions and local / online multiplayer, or you can train your player, go through drills, and compete in entire seasons.

Great game, terrible way of communicating access code

I bought this in a bundle with the Xbox one S for my son and he has been constantly playing since he received it. He was most upset about the EA access code that came with it but had a sticker covering the code. He could not remove the sticker without damaging the code so he is without the access code. He loves the game, though.

This FIFA is by far the best FIFA created. The gameplay is more realistic, the graphics are unbelievable. I can spend hours playing the game.
