Exploding Kittens is a card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats. In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game — unless that player has a defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens. This NSFW version of the game contains the full version of Exploding Kittens, but the artwork on each card has been replaced with content too horrible/amazing to be used in the original Exploding Kittens game. The NSFW Edition can be played with 2 to 5 players or combined with another deck to play with up to 9 players.

Object of the game is to not draw the exploding kitten card. Seems simple enough, but there are variety of counter cards that will block or divert an exploding kitten that will knock you out of the game.

This game will ruin lives.

If you’ve never had a bad coke habit, you will experience the closest thing to it in game form. Friends will want to bum it from you, you’ll have to hoard your cards just to make sure there is enough for yourself, and your parents will be terribly disappointed in your life choices. But you’ll have your kittens.

Most hilarious laughs we’ve ever had.

This game is absolutely hilarious. If you want non-stop funbuy this game. We played it for hours and laughed the entire time there was some fun bantering as well. You see the game requires you to, make temporary alliances, screw everyone, or be sneaky, or a little of the above! The cards are hilarious. The picture are completely inappropriatly awesome.

Sounds strange, but it is a LOT of fun!

Whether you have the “normal” (??) version or this not-safe-for-work edition, you will love this game. If you’re a fan the “card game for horrible people” genre, you’ll laugh your butt of playing this one. It’s a bit interesting learning how to play, but once you do, you start plotting your revenge on your fellow players. I can’t wait to purchase another game by the same vendor (when it becomes available again). STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU FOLLOW THE PARENTAL GUIDELINES–this is not for kids under 15–maybe even 18. Please note that is just for this edition, the non-NSFW edition is safe for kids. Will keep recommending to anyone who will listen.

Fun new game, with strategy and luck involved, as well as psychology and game theory!

Fun new game that’s easy to learn and very portable! I would say it is a mix of strategy (~50%) and luck (~50%). Can play heads-up with as few as two people, or with up to five people. Can also purchase a second deck and play with 6-10 people. Have played with other couples before and “alliances” certainly form – in our game, each couple was secretly not screwing over their own significant other (e.g. stealing their cards, putting the exploding kitten where it would hurt them, etc), but this later turned into a guys vs. girls game because the girls were winning so often! Lots of psychology and game theory-type thinking keeps your mind actively thinking throughout.

This is a very fasted paced game and so much fun! We were stuck in a hotel room in the rain while at an amusement park, and thankfully I had brought Exploding Kittens along just in case! What a great game! It made the time pass so fast while we waited out the rain!

Love it! Takes a min to master and best for 3-4 people but hilarious

Love this game! Our friends are also fans of Cards Against Humanity so it’s definitely good for that type of crowd. The cards are freaking hilarious, I legitimately LOL’d a few times.

Easy to learn game good for some fun

I bought this game for a White Elephant party this Christmas and actually ended up bringing it home myself. The cards are colorful and funny (though definitely NSFW as advertised) and it’s very easy to learn. It took my girlfriend and I about 5 minutes to learn how to play for our first game then about 10 minutes to play. It’s decently fun with a bit of strategy but I wouldn’t say it’s the most fun game in the world. Once you play multiple rounds in a row it starts becoming repetitive. But I’d say it’s worth picking up for devoted board gamers to add to your group as a game that can be played really quickly.

Fun Game

I did not realize that this was an explicit version of the game. I have two teenagers and we have played this as a family. Although explicit, it wasn’t “too” bad. If I had noticed, I probably would have ordered the original. For the most part, we weren’t reading the details of the cards, we were concentrating on looking for matches. I wasn’t offended by any of the cards personally. I would compare it to potty humor or what you might expect from a teenage boy. The game itself is fun to play. The instructions are easy enough to follow and understand.
