The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition Keepsake Box Gift Set

Have you ever wandered how Santa would know who is naughty or nice?

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is the very special tool that helps Santa know who to put on the Naughty and Nice list. This interactive holiday hide-and-seek tradition is perfect for children and families of all ages. The tradition begins when Santa sends his scout elves out to Elf Adoption Centers. Waiting for their families to bring them home, these patient elves hibernate until their family reads The Elf on the Shelf, gives their elf a very special name, and registers their adoption online. Once named, each scout elf will receive its Christmas magic and becomes part of the family's Christmas each and every year.

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition

Scout elves are eyes and ears of Santa Claus

Although they cannot be touched, or else they may lose their magic, the elf will always listen and relay messages back to Santa. Taking in all the day-to-day activities around the house, no good deed goes unnoticed; these scout elves take their job seriously.

Before the family awakes each morning, their special scout elf will fly back to their home from the North Pole. However, since these elves like to play games, don't expect to find them in the same spot! While some like to hide in the freezer (probably because it reminds them of the North Pole) and others prefer to sit on the fireplace mantle or hang from the chandelier, these elves love to play hide-and-seek with their families.

First I have to say that our house doesn’t use this as leverage. I merely do it for the fun and magic of Christmas.

Love the elf

Okay, my kids are ages between 18 and 28, and my parents are in their mid 70’s and my brothers are in their fifties, that did not stop me from ordering four boy elves in the UK and two boy elves and a girl for the United States. Yes, we are all ready having fun with these little guys and they have all been named and have now all been adopted by mischievous grown ups…it’s official as we all have birth certificates! How can I say anything negative about an elf…other than the havoc and destruction these little things are creating. Products arrived by elf carrier and were early than expected with delivery times. They arrived well packaged, with a book (must read it sometime) and website page so you can officially adopt the little blighter.

George the Elf, Claus Intelligence Agency Operative

George the Elf arrived promptly at the end of November. The book that he brought with him helped our daughter (almost 3 years old) get acquainted with Santa’s intelligence operative. After arriving on the first night, George began his mission to spy on our daughter and ensure the big Jolly guy had the information he needed to determine if our daughter was naughty or nice…

every morning she would look for our Elf and seeing the excitement through her eyes was worth it

this was my first year with Elf on the shelf- my daughter is almost 4. He arrived the evening of thanksgiving on the front porch. We opened the package/ read the book and she was so excited. She didn’t quite understand until about the second day. But the book is cute and really starts the Christmas magic for the season. Our Elf “Ben” is a good elf, he packed her bag for school one day, colored pages out her coloring book one night (like 30 pictures all over the table), he missed the cold so one night was in in the fridge, he left her little supries like ABC flashcards, one night her left her a frozen workbook for writing letters, etc but every morning she would look for ben and seeing the excitement through her eyes was great. I wish the elf was alittle more sturdy and I think this next year ill take the advice from pintrest about adding wire for stability but I have no complaints and I enjoyed having him- again he didn’t do anything crazy (he did go poop (brown mms) in her toilet and left paper all in the bath room which she was not amused and thus was the craziest thing he did). Children ONLY have a few Christmas’s of pure magic/wonder- lets embrace it and kindle that spirit.

forever a family tradition!!!

I have been wanting to get an elf on the shelf for the last couple of years but haven’t because I thought they were kinda expensive. Well this year I finally decided it was time . It arrived in its sealed box with a hole in the front (so the elf can breathe) and a beautifully written story book. My kids loved it. And of course the elf. His hands are stitched together so he is able to hang on things and he is very easy to arrange in all kinds of places. My kids adore “zippy” !! He will forever be a family tradition in our household . He has brought soo much joy this year to my kids! If you have been hesitating because of the price , don’t . He is worth every penny!! 🙂

It’s great to bring them out after Thanksgiving

I bought these for my grandsons. It’s great to bring them out after Thanksgiving! They report to Santa on the kids behavior. My daughter started this with her daughter at 3 and she gets really creative doing it nightly, such as where she puts it and has the elf leave notes and treats. She puts her in a different spot each time so her daughter has to find her Elf that she named Faith…. I decided to buy for my two grandsons so their parents can start this tradition too. I just bought my granddaughter the reindeer so the Elf can have her friend. This item comes with the story as well. It’s perfect to do with your children and see them get excited daily up to Christmas Day. Great value and fast shipping.

I am so happy with this order. When I placed this order I was just buying it in advance. Months before Christmas time. It came today beautifully wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. I hated to open it as it looked ready to be placed under a Christmas tree but I did just to be sure I received the right item, which I did. I have not yet opened the box and don’t plan to until I give it to my son, but everything came in a beautiful and sturdy gift box. The invoice even had a hand written note from Santas helper elf. If you are planning to buy an elf on the shelf, buy from this seller! I highly recommend them.

Our kids love him

We introduced the Elf on the Shelf to our 4 and 2 year-olds this past Christmas and they loved him. They’re total believers. It was also fun putting “Puddle” (our sons named him) in different places throughout the house. The kids just never knew where he’d end up next.
