1. Don't use or charge a battery if it shows signs of swelling, pierced, or damaged in any way.
2. Don't charge the battery directly after use, let it cool down to avoid overheating.
3. Don't charge the battery with current input above 1A. Never overcharge.
1.Flying errors may happen after flights, a CALIBRATION and some TRIM WORK will fix the problem.
2.Motors may heat up if being misused. Take a 10 min break between flights to cool them down.
3.Drone weight is less than 0.5lb, FAA registration is not required.
1. Ensure batteries are fully charged, no defects on propellers; Connect the battery to the drone, the LED lights flash quickly then slow down within seconds.
2. Make sure the drone is put on a flat surface.
3. Paring: Turn on the controller, the indicator flashes slowly. Push the left stick up and down, the indicator and LED lights turn to still simultaneously, then paring is succeeded.
4. Calibration: Push both control sticks to the right bottom and hold them on, the LED lights flash and stop within seconds, calibration is done.
1.Switch the speed mode to low speed at the very beginning.
2.Get use to the throttle stick slowly until you can understand how it works.
3.Get use to the trim buttons until you can adjust the drone to be close to hovering.
4.If you can’t tell the front of the drone, try to play under headless mode at first.
5.Try one key return : Remember it only works under headless mode, and needs to set the drone’s head in front before entering into headless mode.
6.Try 3D Flip: Press the function button and push the right stick to any direction. Make sure the height is enough to perform a flip.
Camera didn’t function / Lost drone when quit responding to remote / Customer service slow but helpful
2nd Update – Customer service finally contacted me several months after I posted my initial review. They have apologized and are replacing the drone. While the camera may not have been what we expected, I am happy that were are getting it replaced as my husband did enjoy flying it and found it easy to manuever.
Fun and Easy First Drone
My wife bought this drone for me for my birthday. I have not owned or operated a drone before and was very excited when I opened the gift. The drone came preassembled (except for the blade protectors but they were very easy to install with the supplied screws and screw driver) with spare blades and screws. Also included in the box was the controller, one battery, and charging cable. The operators manual was easy to follow for a first time drone owner with the exception of definitions of some of the terms but they were easy enough to search on line. Battery charge takes about an hour and a half to fully charge.
Great Drone for beginners age 9 and up.
This drone was surprisingly easy to setup. The camera quality isn’t the best, but the software was easy to find and use. The only thing that took time to figure out was making sure the phone was connected to the drone. Once you understand the WiFi Direct setup, the rest was easy. Drone is ready to fly out of the box, battery life is decent, approx 25 min. of fly time per charge. The only thing I didn’t like to much was unclipping the battery to charge it every time. I recommend buying a power bank and spare battery with this drone to increase your fun outside.
Great, Inexpensive, and Durable Drone
This is a great beginner drone. I highly recommend it for someone that’s trying to decide if they want to get into drones. Unlike the more expensive versions (like the $1,000 DJI Mavic Air that I own), you have to control this one all of the time. That is, this one will not hover in place when you release the controls, it does’t have a “return to home” mode, and it lacks many of the other options of the more expensive drones. That’s not bad, though, because it actually trains you how to use the controls (and drone controls are universal in how they work). Another great feature is the durability. I crashed it into trees many times when learning how to operate the controls and never damaged it. Another plus is that it weighs less than .55 lbs., so it doesn’t have to be registered with the FAA. If you purchase it, also purchase extra batteries.
Nice beginner drone
Received this earlier this week. My kids can’t get enough of me flying the drone. It fly really well and has different colored LEDs on the bottom so I can get the orientation of the drone correctly. It syncs fast, and the charge lasts surprisingly long for the small battery. I would recommend buying extras so you can take it to a park and play longer (the remote does not charge the battery). The only hard piece for me was adjusting the trim so I could get it to hover in one spot. I’m sure that will come with time as I’m new to drones. I anticipate many more hours of fun with my kids with this before I graduate myself to a more expensive feature rich drone.
