I bought this for my son right after his first birthday. The piano function worked great to keep him distracted while I shopped in the store. He loved making the little bear dance around while he played music. He laughed and laughed. I decided to go ahead and buy it, and I’m glad I did. He is now 17 months old, and plays with this thing more than any other toy. He really pays attention to the animation when he presses a letter. He says all the letters back to it. He even is saying the words back to it as well. For example, when you hit the “A” button, the animation says “A, Apple”, and spells out the word APPLE on the screen and shows a bear eating an apple. He can recognize and read the word apple now, along with other words, and I’m pretty sure a lot of the credit goes to this toy. He also likes to play the “planting fun” game where it counts out each number you press. The best thing about this is that it will be something he can learn and play with for years. It teaches the alphabet, numbers (1-10), spelling, counting, math, and reading. It also has some interactive games where it asks you a question and you choose the answer. I definitely would recommend for a 1st or 2nd birthday/Christmas present.

This is a great toy for your preschooler or an advanced child. My son is 20 months and loves it. It has about 10 games, VERY interactive, large easy touch buttons, it lights up so he plays it before he goes to bed sometimes. It’s super light and easy to carry around and about the size of a iPad. The bear mascot in the game is very nice, he even calls him “smarty paws” and gives him A TON of praise which is a confidence boost in young children. I recommend this toy HIGHLY.
Great learning tool.

My son loves this tablet. He takes it everywhere with him. When I have to run errands he grabs his little tablet and off we go. He even takes it when I go on our walks in the morning. He can do the hidden letters and the numbers al by himself. e is only 2 1/2 years old. It is one of his favorite toys next to his hot wheels. If you are looking for a learning toy I would recommend this one.

This was the winner. Of all the birthday presents this one is the favorite. She (age 3) plays with it daily and calls it her kindle. She got the games pretty quickly so there was not a lot of frustration for her. I am glad I got it for her. 🙂
Lots of options

The piano idea is great and the sound is fairly realistic. It lets you play more than one note at a time. The graphics seem like a step up from vtech’s other non-innotab lower end “tablets” — and the little bear is pretty cute. I just think that by the time a kid is ready for some of the games on this, he or she is going to want something more like a leap pad/kindle/iPod/etc. At almost $20, this isn’t cheap and you might be better off spending $45 to get a used Leappad2 on eBay or something. But this would be fun for a 2 or 3 year old to play around with. I just think some aspects of it will be too challenging. I was actually pretty impressed with it though overall, and I usually hate vtech. 🙂

Great price for a great interactive toy. I bought this as a gift for my son as he has share all of his sisters toys. So this is his first electronic toy.

I bought this for my niece for Christmas and once she started playing with it, she could not let go of it. She really enjoyed this tablet because she enjoyed playing on her parents laptop. but now she has her own to learn and play with.
