Learning is tons of fun with the Drop and Go Dump Truck by VTech. Drop a colorful rock into the top of this cute toy dump truck, and watch it tumble into the bucket. Your little one will learn numbers as the interactive truck counts each rock. Once the rocks are in the bucket, push or pull the truck along to see the rocks rumble inside. Then, lift the hinged bucket to unload the rocks and start again while developing motor skills. The dump truck also includes 3 colorful buttons that play melodies, phrases and teach tools and colors. Requires 2 AAA batteries (batteries included for demo purposes only; new batteries recommended for regular use). Intended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

Received this a day earlier than expected. 9+ mo old grandson was captivated by it immediately (he loved the Amazon box, too LOL). He is too young to know how to pop the rocks into the bed of the dump truck but he puts them in the hole, turns it over and spins the wheels — he loves wheels. If I pop the rocks in, he pulls the bed back by hand to get them out — he doesn’t know how to use the lever. He can’t walk so he can’t pull the truck by the string but he laughs when I pull it and crawls after it. Love VTech because of the bells and whistles of sound and lights. We are such an electronic world and I like buttons to press for learning activities. Grandson has many VTech toys. It’s great to start babies out young (many he got months ago) because they can grow into the toys and go back to them. He has the laptop, remote control, sit to stand (all time favortie – love love love this one), Iphone, etc. Yes, the “rocks” have gone under the couch a few times but that’s OK – I fish them out. Today I put some of his other little toys in the back of the dump truck with the rocks. The Vroom Vroom sound is fun and I do that, too. I searched Amazon for a truck and decided on this one and am very happy with it. It is sturdy and something he will play with for a long time.

Happy momma, good buy

My 1 year old son JUST LOOOVES this dump truck. (And so does his big sister who’s 4.) It’s so fun to watch him drag it around, play with it, giggle when it lights up. It just makes me smile to see him having fun (and also subconsciously learning cause and effect.

My 18 month old received this as a gift. He loves pulling it along behind himself. The “rocks” take a little effort to push through from the top of the truck and he occasionally gets frustrated by that. But he’ll just toss them directly into the bucket and go on his merry way. The sound has two levels and plays the typical VTech songs and sounds. Cute little toy, great for gift giving (as long as it’s going to a family that isn’t anti-noisy toy)!

This is a hit at our house with my 7 month old son. He love chasing the balls when he throws them across the room. He can pull the truck by the string and thinks it’s pretty neat. The sound effects are not too annoying like some other toys.

My 14 month son loves this truck. Yes, it’s mildly annoying, but so are all of his other talking toys. At least this one encourages the development of some motor skills by “putting the rocks in the hole” on the top of the truck. When the child presses down on the rock, it shoots through to the back of the truck. My son figured it out pretty quick, and he continues to be amused by this. Overall, a good purchase.

My boys play with this often. So much so that I hear “I’m a powerful dump truck” and “Put the rock into the hole” in my sleep but as far as VTech toys go, the sound/music isn’t too bad.

My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday. It wasn’t until she was about 18 months that she really became interested in it, and now at 2 years old she is obsessed. I bought this as a gift for two other 2 year old because I think it’s such a great toy. And of course the option to turn the sound off when you just can’t handle the beeping and bopping of interactive toys is always a plus 🙂
