As a children’s librarian, I was pleasantly surprised by these sweet barnyard puppets. We keep small toys for children to play with in the library but not to check out and take home. These puppets are perfect for that purpose.

I recently purchased these for my friend’s daughter, who just turned 2. I did a lot of research because it’s hard to find a toy for a 2-year-old (seems like the ages for all toys are 3 and up), but these were perfect! She knows all of the animals’ names already and is having fun playing with them, and it’s a great toy that she can use as she gets a little older and acts out stories with them. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great gift for a 2-year-old or any age- we adults have fun playing puppets with her too.

My kids absolutely love them. I’m not a huge fan of puppets (they creep me out- all puppets, not just these) but my kids have been wanting puppets to play with since they saw some puppet show at this Halloween event. I try not to let my own dislikes interfere with my kids’ tastes, so I started looking for the least creepy puppets I could find. These were it- they’re pretty harmless and about as uncreepy as puppets get.

These are really cute hand puppets that are very reasonably priced! They’re well made – especially the heads of the puppets. The bodies are just a printed design, but that allows them to be a bit stretchy. On the package it says that they’re sized for both adults and children. I found that my medium sized hands were a bit snug inside. But most of the time when I’m playing with puppets my kids grab them off my hands anyway. The pictures shown are very accurate, and you can’t go wrong for the price.

These puppets are so cute. I purchased them to add to my niece’s prize bag. The fabric that they are made from is very soft and smooth (I love feeling them), and they seem well made. The size is big enough to fit my small hands, so I can play with my niece, but still small enough that she can play with them.

We play “Peek A Boo” but say things like “Peek A Baa” for the sheep and “Peek A Moo” for the cow. My kid things that’s hilarious.

Hours and hours of puppet play time

The Melissa & Doug Farm Friends Puppets are getting a lot of attention from the twenty month old. He usually carries them in his arms rather than on his hands. He has fun making the animal sounds, playing hide and seek with them, and holding their heads up to look out the window.

Soft and cute

Soft material with a cushy head. I’m an adult female with what I feel like are average size hands (whatever that means?!) and my hand fits in them fine. You can move the arms but it stinks that the mouths don’t move, but I knew that when in chose to purchase them. I think the 12 year olds will love playing a puppet show for their little sister!
