These guys are awesome and very inexpensive. My sister got orbeez for her son and sent me a box because she loved them. I took them to work and we were all like adult kids playing with them all day.

I got a bag of these to use with my 3rd grade students on a rainy day. They have exceeded my expectations! We put them in the water before lunch and by the time we got back an hour laterer they had already started to grow; by the end of the day they filled the whole container. I teach in the inner city of Baltimore and the kids do not have science (bc there was no teacher) and rarely get to do things like this and they are OBSESSED with getting to play with these now! We have actually had them going for a few days now I just add a little more water before I go home and they haven’t changed. I’m so happy I took a chance trying these, I will definitely be reordering!

A little goes a long way and I’m using them for my potted plants

My granddaughter told me about these, so I bought some. There’s another “brand” name they go by, but these seem to be exactly the same. When she came to visit, she put about 2 or 3 tablespoons in a large, tall flower vase and added water. Later than day, we could tell they could use more water. We had to transfer some of the beads to a big bowl. We added more water to both containers and let them sit. They continued to expand. We got out another big bowl, transferred some of the beads to that bowl and added more water to all three containers. We let them sit overnight. The next morning we came into the kitchen and found that the beads had expanded and overflowed onto the kitchen table and onto the floor. So be sure to experiment with a small amount before you use larger quantities.

Oh my goodness! We had so much fun with these in my daughter’s kindergarten class! (My daughter is the teacher) I put a whole 8oz. package of beads into a small swimming pool and watched them grow thou out the day. It was soooo fun to see how excited they were. Other teachers from around the school came in to see them after school & my daughter offered to let their classes come in for a field trip the next day. I shared the link on how to buy them with her friends and have already purchased 3 more 16oz bags to take on a mission trip. I love that they are non toxic and biodegradable.

Just as good as orbeez. My 11-year old loves these more than I can rationally explain. She ignored my advice and wet ALL of them initially. They were taking over my kitchen. We allowed about half to shrink back down and we still have a couple gallons in various containers. They are strangely compelling. These and a laser cat toy were her two favorite presents. It could have been a $20 Christmas.

excellent value, great jelly beads!

Incredible value! None of the beads were mis shaped. There were a few extra large egg shaped ones (maybe 3 in the whole bag) that were pretty cool. The whole bag filled a very large tote halfway. They do start to smell if you leave them out for several days, simply due to bacteria breeding in the moister. Not sure what you can do to avoid this other than rinse the beads daily after and before use, or allowing them to dry.

Such a great deal for so many beads

8 ounces of these will last my son for years. I can not believe how much they grow. Just a teaspoon of the tiny beads grows to enough for hours of play. We use them for sensory play and they are so pleasant to play with and they bounce all around. Another nice thing about the beads is that if one does get away from you and roll under the couch or chair, they eventually dehydrate back to the tiny size and can be easily vacuumed up the next time you clean!

Virgin Water Beader! My Experience…

I had no idea what these water beads were, but my sister, who runs an in-home daycare, said I had to get them for my kids (2 and 7). I was so confused about what I was supposed to do with these things! How are kids supposed to play with them? What kind of cleanup was involved? Where was I supposed to store them?
