Better Than a Hatchimal

What the title said. This toy is not only cuter (fluffier, better colors/design) than a Hatchimal but it also has more play value- even if you never use the app! It babbles on to you about whatever is on his or her little Furby mind- in English and Furbish. It’s entire body moves when you tickle, shake, and talk to your furby. You can name it (in the app) and it will remember the name. There are also videos your furby will respond to in the Furby Connect World app as well as songs it can learn to sing through the app. Your furby will dance along to music with you. You can even just sing/ play an instrument for your furby and it will LOVE your musical prowess. The only challenge I foresee in the long run is keeping Furby’s fur fluffy. It comes out of the box with absolute cloud-like fur that you’re going to want to get back after a few weeks of play. And I do say “weeks” because with the updates on the Furby Connect World app that happen randomly and the fact that Furby has at least one new thing to say every day even without the app, this toy has enough play value to last a long time.
Really fun, but hungry for batteries!

This thing is absolutely adorable and my five year old son is in love. The fur is ridiculously soft and the expressions are hilarious. He chatters non stop while on, but is easily put to sleep with the mask. We’ve had no trouble connecting with the tablet app on Amazon Fire and he has interacted well within the game.
His name is Belly Button and we love him even with his challenges…

This little guy is the most adorable Furby yet, and we have about 15 Furbs from every generation. So far they interact with each other without a hitch. They sing together in harmony even more than the Booms, but mine seem to have narcolepsy! They fall asleep in the middle of play then wake up and say “There you are!”. This happens even with brand new batteries. The other thing I’m not sure about is I am having trouble connecting the bluetooth to the Furby Connect app. It isn’t reliable and sometimes drops in the middle of an update. Did I get defective ones or is this a glitch? First generation that uses Bluetooth, so I expect some adjustments. I am just wondering if anyone else is having any issues? I gave Furby Connect four stars because of its radical transformation. Hasbro has enhanced all of the things I love about Furby -interaction/ singing, adorable ears that move, even softer fur to encourage lots of hugs, and adorable comments like “Ahh deep tissue…” when you rub Furby’s back. and they have addressed the problem of noisy Furby syndrome with the cute little sleep mask. I’m just hoping that the issues I am having are solved soon.
This furby is totally adorable, even cuter than the photos depict. The fur is so soft and colorful. I love that it works with the app for even more activities so the kids don’t lose interest quickly. I did not have any trouble downloading the app and setting it up for use. There are plenty of activities to interact with the furby. It is a little noisy at times but that can be solved with the sleep mask that is provided. When furby is wearing the mask, he goes in to sleep mode. It seems well made to withstand being carried and tossed around by the kiddos. I’m very happy with my purchase.
A Great Furby!

Now, I was originally hesitant to buy this, I was thinking it would just be the same as the Furby BOOM! but cuter, which would’ve been disappointing since those are my least favorite of the furbies. Now that I’ve gotten myself a pink one and played with it, I do not regret buying the Furby Connect one bit. While I do heavily dislike that it has toilet humor, I still really liked it, I even got addicted to the app before getting the toy! Unlike with others, my furby worked perfectly fine and had very fluffy fur. Furby Connect is definitely superior to the Hatchimal. It has a lot of things to do with the app that makes it’s playtime last longer while the Hatchimal just gets boring once it hatches and gets to it’s final stage and will probably never be played again after that, while a furby connect will likely entertain for many months. As a 12 yr old who is part of the age audience this is aimed for, I’d definitely recommend a furby connect for people who collect furbies or just like em in general.

Furby Connect is fun and entertaining. Furby’s comments are always unexpected. I too had issues updating and connecting Furby to the app. I spent three days making attempt after attempt. I finally contacted Hasbro. The support rep said that Furby requires a strong battery and they recommended using fresh alkaline batteries, such as Duracell. If you are using heavy duty, super heavy duty, generic or rechargeable batteries, Furby will not function properly. I used energizer lithium and had no problem. My device was iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.3.2. Apparently, the device and the OS makes a difference. The other tip was to reset Furby. There are two types of resets. The 2nd one worked for me. Afterwards Furby updated and connect via the app with no issue. Steps below. Hope this helps someone experiencing the same connection problems.

Got three of these, one for each kid, for Christmas and they were a HUGE hit. They are funny, cute, sometimes a little gross (much to the delight of the children), and fun. I wish there was volume control so we could make them a little quieter. It’s REALLY cool how two of them will talk to each other and sing songs together. The app is fun, too.
