I had Barbie’s Dream House when I was a little girl in the 80s-90s. I loved it and still remember it vividly. I was so excited to get my daughter her first doll house. It was fun having her help me assemble it. It took about 30 minutes to make sure everything was there and to put it together. Very simple. The instructions are mostly pictures, so anyone can do it.

This dream house is just that…A DREAM HOUSE! My daughter is going crazy over it! It has the cutest little accessories. The furniture is really nice! Her grandma bought it for her birthday and it was the perfect gift! She loves that the garage door and elevator can actually go up and down. This doll house is keeping her busy for hours! It’s pricey but definitely worth it! Highly recommended!

My niece absolutely loved the house and she went to bed late because she was all into playing with it. I suggest you get a second person to help. There are a lot of small parts to the house. You only need 3 triple A batteries for one part of the house and the rest of it just requires snapping the correct parts together. The toilet makes a flushing sound and there is a fan that blows air. Totally a pass down to generation type of house if treated right by the owner.

This gigantic Barbie house is as tall as your kids (four feet tall)! Standing, they can see the third floor, sitting they can see the second floor, and lying on their bellies, they can play in the kitchen and garage. It was thoughtfully designed.

Its really pretty but some things are not clear from advertisement/description. One would be lead to believe that the sink, grill, fish tank they show you in the ad all work as different components… when in fact they are one component and you have to change each item by attaching them onto this multiuse square sink/ dresser/ grill… The grill is particularly more difficult to remove as its flat noting to pull like you do with the sink/ fish tank. Also the toilet connects to this same multiuse square sink/ dresser/ grill so you have to keep taking it on and off when you want to use it for anything outside of the bathroom sink. As a result we have already broken the connection piece for the toilet and replaced it (you can also find on amazon) and now we have replaced it with the standard barbie stand alone sink and toilet and just use the multiuse square sink/ dresser/ grill for just a the multiuse dresser/ grill. Also the elevator does get stuck frequently if you move it too quickly and we hold it as we are pushing the button to make it go up and down. When we received the package a small pink piece at the very top of the track that the elevator runs was actually broken, it actually acts as a stop to prevent the elevator from coming off the track when it reaches the top, we tried various glues and in the end just decided to just remove it and show our daughter where to stop when she gets to the top to prevent it from running off the track. All these things aside it is still a big barbie house and can provide lots of fun for many barbies at a time, the little details are very cute on all the decorations & accessories.

The house wasn’t hard to put together because it was partially assembled in the box. Only a few snaps and we were on our way. This dollhouse is much larger than the ones I had as little girl. My daughter is four and she has to stand up to reach the top floor. I was worried about ordering this because of the reviews I read regarding the elevator not working but so far so good over here. My daughter plays with it daily and even with her big brothers shooting the elevator up and down it is still in perfect condition. The garage door is hard to maneuver and my daughter does get frustrated with it at times but I haven’t had any issues with it coming off. I am also impressed with the number of accessories that came with her house. I would definitely recommend for any small girl.

Don’t wait until Christmas Eve to assemble this dollhouse!

I read the negative comments from the unhappy folks who gave this dollhouse a 1 star, so I was leery about ordering the Dreamhouse. On Black Friday I went to Toys R Us hoping to find a Dreamhouse that had been marked down considerably. I didn’t hurry to fight the crowds on Black Friday so I went to Toys R Us in the early afternoon. Yes, they had a sale but it ended mid-morning and the price was jacked back up to $200. There were 2 boxes left and they looked well beaten with the photo images partially peeled off. I passed on those, not wanting to find a return that had simply been repackaged as many complained about with Target.

Hours of play time!

Your little princess will love this! You? Not so much.. I say that jokingly having had to put it together. It comes in a thousand pieces, but the first two floors come together already. There is a very detailed step-by-step poster that you get in the Box. While the instructions are not written, they are pictured, and easy to follow if you go step by step. I also looked on YouTube and watched a quick video of someone else putting it together which really helped me putting this together. The directions seemed to make sense after I watched the YouTube video. It did take me two hours to put it together, and that includes putting all of the little toothbrushes, ovenware and table settings, and stickers on. It has the sounds of a flushable toilet (too cute) , it has a fan that works, a sink with running water sounds and tooth brushing sounds, as well as an aquarium that turns. However you cannot use all three at the same time as they all use the same interchangeable base. Our granddaughter has spent countless hours playing with her Barbie Dream House. She keeps her Barbie boat in the garage, and she enjoys having her Barbies go up and down the elevator. So if there is any Saving Grace, the hours that you spent putting it together will be well worth it since there are many many many more hours of playtime. I hope you found this review helpful

Oh my! What a Barbie house! What a dream for a little girl who loves Barbie to have a house like this for her dolls! It was everything I hoped for for our granddaughter’s 5th birthday.
